The cdr has a small sticker, and inside the envelope there is a photocopied insert in the format of miniposter of the dimensions of 11x33 cm. developed and 11x11 cm. closed, approximately (paper 80 gr. thick)

"Slaughter Productions è da lungo tempo, al di là di ogni ragionevole dubbio, un punto di riferimento insostituibile per gli amanti della musica estrema di derivazione industriale, sia come distribuzione di lavori altrui, sia come produzione, specialmente quando si parla di nastri e CD autoprodotti. Urna è un progetto che conosco, grazie al CD split con Djinn e al successivo Lares; Kranio invece, pur avendolo già sentito nominare, è nuovo alle mie orecchie. Questo mini CD, della durata di poco meno di mezz’ora, è concettualmente prossimo ai lavori precedentemente citati di Urna: si tratta di una complessa e profondamente cupa manipolazione di suoni provenienti da strumenti assolutamente insospettabili (voce e percussioni a parte, quello che colpisce maggiormente l’immaginazione è sicuramente il mandolino!). I due musicisti si dividono il lavoro equamente: Gianluca Martucci/Urna si occupa delle fonti originarie, Carlo De Vietro/Kranio della manipolazione. Il risultato è molto efficace e agghiacciante: tutto sembra immerso in una nebbia fredda e malata e le lente variazioni tipiche del genere sono coadiuvate da interessanti stratificazioni di suoni; difficilissimo riconoscere gli strumenti che generano i suoni tranne, in alcuni frangenti, la voce; considerato che in ambito dark ambient di novità vere e proprie, tranne rare eccezioni, è sempre più difficile trovarne, direi che questi progetti non hanno molto da invidiare a progetti nordici di ben altra fama e credo che valga decisamente la pena supportarli, magari nella speranza che sia possibile, prima o poi, riuscire a scrollarsi di dosso gli ovvi riferimenti storici e trovare, perché no, una nuova via alla musica industriale più scura e rarefatta."
